A Window to Nature’s Soul
Videos on nature’s magical phenomena
I first created “The simple joys” to show diamond dust / sun-pillar in motion, as well as to make a point that this amazing phenomenon exists. The more videos I took, the more I enjoyed the process and I have since expanded my subject matter to include fog and snow bugs. While making images is still my priority, I have become more attuned to the video potential of a particular scene.
I hope that the audience can, on one hand, let their imagination run wild with my images and, on the other, be transported by my videos to the magical world of nature. I hope that through both images and videos, they can experience the sense of awe, peace and joy that I felt when immersed in nature.
All videos here have been paired with Luca Longobardi’s music creations. Luca’s music has been both my muse and therapist. I listen to his music to calm my busy mind down and be more in tune with nature. His music breathes life into my videos. Thank you Luca!
The simple joys
A video on diamond dust / sun-pillar - ice crystals that appear mainly in the morning after temperatures plunge overnight. This amazing phenomenon is becoming rarer due to warming temperatures.
Lost but found
A video that I created during the pandemic about the beauty of fog.
Serendipity
A video on my serendipitous encounters with snow bugs, the harbingers of snow. These white-winged bugs glimmer in sunlight, resembling snow.
